Hey nice work, but sadly I think we are going to only be working on backgrounds. Im sure Hill said not to focus on figures. That said I like 2 and 15 best. Im sure you can do alot with those thumbnail's.
I really like 11, 12, and 16. I think 11 might be my favorite, and think it has a super neat composition that still tells us that this is "Gift of the Magi."
